Mo and Me Creative
Mo and Me Creative is a family-run business in Werribee, Victoria, making hand-poured soy wax candles. Karen and Bruce wanted to add an online retail channel to a business that had largely served wholesale customers.
They needed a store that reflected the warmth of their products and could be managed around the realities of running a small, home-based business.
The challenge

The existing website was basic and did not support eCommerce. Marketing relied on word of mouth and wholesale relationships, with no structured online approach.
Budget, time and space all influenced the brief. The owners also needed to manage the store independently, without having to rely on technical help for every update.

Discovery covered the business vision, customer personas, market context and brand positioning. This helped connect the website decisions to what Karen and Bruce wanted the business to become.

A customised Shopify theme brought the brand into the store. Detailed scent descriptions and product photography helped communicate products that customers could not experience in person.

Prioritise the essentials
The build focused on mobile responsiveness, SEO and email integration within a manageable budget. Training covered website updates, order processing and basic marketing tools.
The results
A store the owners can make their own.
The business gained a professionally branded online store supporting retail and wholesale sales. The published story describes Karen managing the store with greater confidence and minimal external support.
The project also established a foundation for SEO, email marketing and future product additions.
