The business
A specialist store with two sides to the business
Coins & Collectables Victoria sells commemorative coins, trading cards and accessories to collectors online and in store. For Josh, who owns the business, both sides needed to work together.
The online store ran on Shopify, while Retail Express handled point of sale (POS). The disconnect between them was creating extra work and making the business harder to manage.
Josh came to Digital Guppy with a clear brief: move everything across to a connected setup and give the website a completely new design, while keeping the existing customer and order information intact.
The challenge
Two systems that weren't working together
The problem went beyond how the website looked. Shopify and Retail Express were handling different parts of the same business, but the information and day-to-day work were not flowing cleanly between them.
Product setup was being repeated across the two systems. Categories and product information also needed attention, both to simplify management and to make the online store easier to browse.
A move to a new platform could solve those problems, but Josh did not want to leave the business’s history behind. The existing products, customer records and orders needed to come across with it.
The brief had two parts: make the store better to use and manage, and make the transition seamless for existing customers.
Our approach
A new store, with the history brought along
We moved Coins & Collectables Victoria to Neto, bringing online and in-store retail into one platform. Alongside the migration, we created a new website design and connected the tools used for shipping, accounting and payments.
- 01
Bring the products and records across
We migrated the full product catalogue, customer profiles and historical orders into Neto. The move preserved the records Josh already relied on, rather than treating the new store as a fresh start with no history.
That continuity mattered for customers too. The business could move forward with its existing customer and order information in place.
- 02
A new design that reflected their growth
Coins & Collectables Victoria had grown, and the new website needed to reflect that. We created a completely new design that gave the business a stronger online presence and made its range easier to explore.
We simplified and reorganised the product categories so they flowed more naturally, with clearer menus and a more logical path through the store. This helped customers browse the range and find what they were looking for more easily.
A product-focused homepage and a consistent design through to checkout brought the new store together.
- 03
Connect online and in-store retail
Neto brought products, inventory, customers and orders into a connected retail setup. This replaced the split between Shopify and Retail Express and reduced the need to repeat product work across separate systems.
- 04
Join up the tools behind the store
We connected Australia Post for shipping, Xero for accounting, and payment options including Afterpay and Stripe. These connections supported the work around each sale, from taking payment through to fulfilment and accounts.
- 05
Provide practical training
We provided hands-on training in managing products and website content. This gave the people running the store a practical understanding of the new setup and how to keep it up to date.

The results
A connected store without leaving the past behind
Coins & Collectables Victoria now had a completely redesigned website and a connected platform for online and in-store retail. The full product catalogue, customer records and existing order history came across, supporting a seamless transition for customers.
For Josh, the change addressed the original frustration: separate systems that made everyday work more complicated than it needed to be. Product updates and order processing could be managed within the new retail setup, with shipping, accounting and payment tools connected around it.
The project delivered more than a new look. It brought the business’s information together, gave customers a clearer store to browse and included training to help the team manage what came next.
