Give your website a fresh pair of eyes.

Check the everyday things that make it easier for someone to choose your business.

Open your website on a phone and a computer. Better still, ask someone who does not know your business to work through it with you.

  1. Say what you do

Can a first-time visitor explain what you offer after reading the top of your homepage?

  2. Make the next step easy

Check that your main contact or enquiry link is easy to find and works on a phone.

  3. Keep your information current

Review phone numbers, opening hours, team details, service areas and offers.

  4. Show relevant work

Choose projects, customer feedback or examples that reflect the work you want more of. Get permission before publishing customer material.

  5. Try the enquiry journey

Send a clearly labelled test enquiry to your own business. Check confirmation, delivery and who is responsible for following up.

  6. View it on mobile

Look for clipped text, awkward buttons, hard-to-read copy and images that hide useful information.

Make it useful

Choose your next step.

Pick one thing to work on, give it an owner and agree when to check back.

Want a hand?

You don't have to work it all out on your own.
